Nolegirl, I'll keep an eye out for people with their shirts untucked this weekend. The Housing list on Wake's Web site makes it look like the col is pretty cheap. I'll let you know how the hunt goes.

I'm almost sure I'll be at Wake in the fall. The school really wowed me when I first visited last year. The few professors I talked to were friendly, open and honest. The criminal law class I sat in on was great. Even my girlfriend, who has no interest in the law whatsoever, thought the class was awesome. It's already been said, but the library was indeed top notch. I also liked Winston-Salem. I spent most of the last 3 years in a much smaller town with much, much less to do, so it's size doesn't bother me at all.

Not sure how I'll fit in with a bunch of guys in half-tucked pastel polos since I'm a jeans and t-shirts guy from Jersey, but I enjoyed four years at U of South Carolina, so I think I'll be OK.

Is anyone going to the House Hunt?

I'm in a very similar situation. I can't decide if I'll have more flexibility with no debt and a Duquesne degree or a good bit of debt and a degree from Wake. My girlfriend is also from N.C. her family is in Charlotte, barely an hour from Wake.

Wake had a lot of things that I really liked when I visited. For starters, I did my undergrad at South Carolina, so I went to school in a city...a small city, but a city nonetheless, and I kind of wanted to go to law school on a smaller campus that was separate from the surrounding town/city. I really liked that about Wake. Plus, the campus is beautiful and the law school's library is awesome. I'm also thinking pretty strongly about litigation after law school, and Wake has a great litigation clinic. My gf and I also have some friends in Winston-Salem.

On the other hand, Duquesne is free and my sister and her family live just outside Pittsburgh. While it would be an experience to live in Pittsburgh for 3 years, I don't think I want to be there after law school, and I'm worried of a Duquesne degree will let me get back to the Southeast.

I concerned about the debt too. I received a small scholarship, but I've got a free-ride at Duquesne. The idea of no debt is very tempting, but Wake has been my first choice since I first visited the end of last summer.

I don't have much first-hand knowledge of Baylor, Arkansas or Tenn., but I've heard only good things about all of them. Any idea what you want to do or where you want to live after law school?

Is anyone planning on heading to Wake Forest this Fall? I'm still considering a few other options, but I'm leaning toward Wake.

Thanks. It was definitely a nice surprise, since I had basically given up.

Never been huggled before. Not sure if it's good or bad.

This is my first post here, but I wanted to share some good news.

I've been going back and forth for months between paying full price to go to Wake Forest, my first choice, or saving a lot of money at one of two other schools, all the while hoping Wake would come through with some money. Well today I came into work and found an e-mail saying I've been awarded 8K per year. Not a lot, I know, but it's nice to feel some love.
