I couldn't attend Open house, Housing fair or anything. But reading the postings here reaffirmed my commitment to BC. 2

I heard people say UG defines who you are and Graduate school defines your career (or path?). You already went to MIT so nobody would doubt your intelligence no matter where you may end up.
I also went to a very very prestigious university.(hehe. ;)And I also fully realized that school's prestige can't guarantee happiness.You should be happy with where you are and what you're doing and who you're with. and last but not least, who you are... I hope you're happy with your choice for all three years in law school and thereafter. And I hope so about me too.. 3

It must have been a very tough decision to turn down T14 schools. But I would dislike the location of Cornell-deep, deep into the mountain, and GUSL's reputation for its cutthroat competitiveness. I also turned down a few schools ranked above BC,,but they're not T14s. At the moment I'm weighing beween UMN and BC, I feel like your choice is making my decision easy and clear.

MITgrad; Did you get accepted to Cornell and Georgetown and turn them down? Or did you visit there just to look around? Anyway there is at least another MIT grad among L2 or L3, he is Korean American. 6

Princetonreview site called BC Law Disney world law school. Is this just the princetonreveiw thing? or is it a well-known nickname? Obviously Newton campus doesn't have a rollercoaster or anything in it...BTW I like amusement parks.

I sent the check on April 18th from Seoul by express mail(TNT). The BC admissions said on the email that if it is postmarked by April 20, then it is fine. Anyway TNT said that my check arrived on 19. But BC never notified me of their acceptance of my check say, through the email. Is this the way it is?

Things are very similar in Korea, We have a similar passage rate. To take a bar exam you don't need the law education here..actually you don't need any education for it. so anybody can take it and too many people apply for it and exam system is very stupid here,,it is more like a lottery. so it is very common to spend 10 years for that exam ending up as a permant unemployment or psycho...
So the government finally decided to adopt Americal law school system here from 2008. Need to wait and see how it will turn out. Many koreans take LSAT and go to US law schools i found that almost every law school in the US has korean students there. As for me, I went to best law college in Korea only to fail in the lottery and decide to go to the U.S. But having spent last 10 years for that lottery, I almost had no working experience (except the mandatory military service), somewhat low gpa (school had nothing to do with the exam)so I got dinged at every top 20 school.(LSAT-167) But I got accepted to a few good schools and I'm happy about it... anyway Gambatte.
