Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: UVA Waitlist
« on: March 24, 2006, 06:55:10 AM »
I've been placed in the general out of state waitlist. I'm guessing I MIGHT have a chance once they go through the priority in-state waitlist, priority out of state waitlist, and the general in-state waitlist. If by some miracle they get to the general out of state waitlist, decisions may take as long as August 21! I'm not even going to mention the financial aid situation. I'm not holding my breath.

wow. some of you really have been waiting a while. I have about 18 schools still pending and most went complete early/mid february. I'm guessing I won't be hearing from anyone soon.

thanks for the info! I have to say I am bit depressed about Michigan ? 3/11 for the last regular admit ? wow. However, the last admit for the 2003-2004 cycle was 3/24. So there is hope.

the life of pi. I'm half way through and I've yet to be convinced that its booker prize win was well deserved. I love subtlety when it comes to the development of a theme in a novel and there's nothing subtle about the message of this book. In fact, it repeatedly bangs your head with it. For some reason I keep comparing it to the god of small things by Arundhati Roy-which was far better.

lol. redemption, don't get my hopes up. I'm sweating it and I'll keep on sweating until I have that envelope in my clammy, trembling hands. You however have nothing to sweat about  ;)

goodfella-thanks.and congrats on all your acceptances.

I got my acceptance in the mail. I wasn't checking my online status checker though (I'd learned from all my EA decisions that those things were the devil). So don't worry.

hey whats up?  So what type of envelope did you receive you acceptance in ? Yes, I know I'm being anal but I can't help myself.  8)

Law School Admissions / Cornell: what does this mean ?

I checked my online status check and it says that they've reached a decision. They're sending my decision by mail and it should take a week to arrive.

I've been looking through LSN and most people who got accepted received their decisions via email. Everyone who was rejected received it by mail. Does this mean a rejection letter is heading my way ?  :-\

lol. tiger claws ?

for those who don't know, beavertail has nothing to do with beavers-it's actually a very tasty Canadian pastry

shoe shiner, for tap dancing circus monkeys  :D

I'm confused. What the hell do you mean by "hang em up" ?  ???

Retire. Forever.

when you're the only one around from when you got started, and i mean actual posters, not just those who registered and lurked

that being said, it's starting to get close

oh. lol. I don't know, I'd say once you're reached the point where you are posting for the sake of posting and not to add to the intellectual discussions that normally go on around here.  ;)

Can I change my vote? Am i talking to myself? @#!*
