Hello everyone,

I recieved my first acceptance yesterday and I was so excited. I don't know what to do. The only thing is that I don't know if I want to pratice law anymore. Since childhood I've always wanted to be an attorney. This is my second year applying so I gave up with anyhope of getting in so when I recieved my letter I was schocked. I started looking at getting my MBA from the school up the street.
I am so confused right now. Going to school would mean I would have to relocate again and leave my 7 year-old with my mother. Someone please tell me is it worth going to law school if you don't want to be an attorney? I may want to be an attorney some day down the road but right now I just don't know.

OK, so I applied to school last year B4 I received my Dec LSAT score which when I received it I was not expecting to be admitted to any law school. By the grace of GOD I was waitlisted at two schools and denied by the rest but I was not expecting much with a 139 LSAT score. After 1300$ on test masters and diagnostics ranging in the 150’s I was not worried about the test and went ahead like a crazy woman and applied to schools not knowing my fate. Well I retook in June and got a 145 no biggie and I am reconsidering taking it again but am unsure. I know I am not a dummy so I have no idea why this test seems to defeat me. Well some of the schools will accept this score but I was told to rewrite my personal statement or reword it so admissions will feel that I made the effort. Now I have no idea how to do this because my personal statement is about me and it came from my heart and it is all in all very personal so I don’t know what else to write about. I can make up someone’s life and make it interesting but if they re-look at my last years file I am sure to be called a phony. I am sure the LSAT score was the reason for denial but I just want to cover all angles B4 applying again.

Well if anyone is willing to read my personal statement and give me an idea on how to change it I would be grateful.

Ok, so I scored a low 145 but I guess thats better than a 139 I've improved by 6 points. I am wondering shoud I retake or take my chances. I'm not trying to go anywhere fancy and I'm only going to be able to go part-time anyway. I applied to 15 schools last time and with that 139 I didn't even get into the lowest of the tier 4. I'm so fustrated and discouraged but I know I can not allow myself to give up. I won't give up but at this point I don't know what to do because I've taken testmasters twice, did all the homework and took pratice test after pratice test but when it comes to the test no matter how much I try to relax I get nervous and begin to cry by the third section. I've even went so far to try and get some meds for my anxiety but my doctor told me they could in fact hurt my chances of scoring high. I don't know what to do. Someone HELP

Law School Applications / Is this a good thing?

I had given up all hope of going to LS this year. With all of my soft factors and G.P.A my LSAT just didn't cut it. Well, I seen an admissions director at a confrence I was attending for my job. We remembered each other because I went to every open house and forum that the LS had to offer.

When I spoke with the director of admissions and she told me that due to my low DEC LSAT score (I had not even mentioned my score) that she will hold my application until I re-take in June. She advised me that she was going to switch my prefrence to part-time and to bring my June LSAT up by 10 points. Does that mean that I still have a chance to go to LS 2006?

I took the testmasters course for the October test and completley bombed. I mean I went from taking diagnostics ranging from 150-162 and ended up scoring a 139 on my actual test which I took in DEC. I have came to the conclusion that I will not be accepted to any of the 15 schools I applied to with that score no matter how good my PS or my LOR. I have decided not to take the FEB test and wait until June. Is taking testmasters over again worth the 625.00? I tried to study by myself but it's just not working.

Ok so I made a dumb mistake by applying to schools before I recieved my LSAT score. That's only because I was scoring high on my diagnostic and didn't want to wait until January to apply. Well with my score of a 139 I have no hope of getting into any of the law schools I applied for. I am going to retake Testmasters and just wait for June. I'm so depressed.

I am going to die! I have been between 156-163 since June on all of my pratice test and today I get my score and it's 139. I don't know what to do at all. I've already dished out a whole lot of $$$$$ for applications. I am thinking about taking another prepcorse and re-taking in February but even then will it be to late for the schools that I have applied to? Alao, I would have to score a 165 just to get a 151 average. My life as you know it is OVER! Any suggestions?

Has anyone ever taken the Power Score weekend course? Is it worth it? I already took the Testmasters full-length but am still having problems with LR. So now I'm debating on wether to take the weekend course or take testmasters again.

I forgot to attach three fee waivers to my certification letters. Should I send in the money orders by themselves or print out another certification letter and attach them and send them again?
