I still haven't heard anything but "we will have your decision letter mailed out by the end of [LAST] month." I just called their admissions office and left a message (sure seems like they screen their calls)...
Should we set up a UCONN 08 yahoo group. Any thoughts? I'd be happy to set it up and post a link for you guys.Since this was put up on the 30th of last month, several posters have registered interest in joining a group. I have gone ahead and created a Uconn Law group, which can be accessed at the following address:
Let's make this a useful resource!
*EDIT* Anybody may join this group. We especially encourage current UConn Law students to join, or anybody who knows about the Hartford area.
I just got off a waitlist. I had really gotten used to the idea of living in Hartford, and even planned to go apartment hunting there next week! Now I don't know what to do.

Great idea! Count me in.

"Orientation for incoming students fruns from August 24-26 and classes begin on Monday August 29, 2005."
I just spoke with the admissions office. They confirmed the dates reported earlier (I am admitted as a full-time day division student) and when asked about the dearth of information sent out to admitted students, electronic or otherwise, the very friendly admissions office employee informed me that I would be receiving plenty of information over the course of the summer, so much that I would regret ever having given them my mailing/email address.
I guess we all just need to be more patient...

One thing that irritates me. Dell doesn't send the operating system CDs anymore. You have to request them. That is bull. I paid for em, I want em.........
I just got a 6000d and had the same gripe... UNTIL I found that you can burn your own Windows XP disk using a handy utility pre-installed on the computer. Look in the start menu under the dell utility folder (I forget exactly what the folder's name is, but there should be an application that allows you to burn your own Win XP disk). PM me if you need more specific info and I can find more details for you (posting from work, computer is at home).
