I was also accepted off the waiting list.  University of Arizona is my first choice so I will be withdrawing from Arizona State.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Cleveland State - Fraud Letter

Are you guys being deliberately cagey?  Spit it out?  Was personal information stolen from Cleveland State?  Are they warning you that your information may be part of the theft of information?

Incoming 1Ls / Re: Leaving a high paying job for law school

I'm leaving a very good paying, secure job to return to school.  I've worked here for more than twelve years so it is a tad bit bittersweet but, in reality, I can't see myself doing this until retirement.  My husband was more than a little distressed that I was leaving my job since he has been a stay at home father for quite a while.  He'll be going back to work.

I find it odd that he spends so much time trying to prove that Santa Clara should be ranked higher but then says rankings are a bad idea.  Kinda reminds me of the diner customer who told his waitress the food was terrible and the portions were too small.  I think Santa Clara could have done more to prove how little rankings matter by not responding to the drop at all.  I think it looks desperate.  Santa Clara was a good school last year and it is a good school this year.  Congratulations to the people attending  :)

July 15th, here.  I plan to spend some time with my little boy and husband, maybe visit my parents in Florida, definitely lounge around a lot.  We will be moving for school and plan to secure an apartment for August 1st so I'll be squeezing that task in as well.  I've worked for my employer for a really long time so it is a tiny bit sad to be leaving.

If it is any consolation, I attended an admitted students open house a couple weeks ago and some were still waiting to hear from other schools before they make final decisions.  I sent in my deposit but if I get off the waiting list at University of Arizona, you can have my seat :)Good luck.

Law School Admissions / Re: All Transcripts required?
« on: April 23, 2005, 11:09:35 PM »
When one of my undergraduate school sent in my transcript they incorrectly coded the other undergraduate school I attended.  It looked like I had attended two other schools instead of one.  The names of the schools were very close and it was obvious what happened but I still had the indication of "undisclosed transcript" on my LSDAS.  I had to contact the school with the incorrect information which was frustrating because just reaching someone on the phone was next to impossible.  Finally, it was corrected, a corrected transcript was submitted and my report no longer indicated an "undisclosed transcript".

Incoming 1Ls / Re: What did you learn from PLS II?

Please tell me I am not alone in thinking this book is total garbage.  I found it to be very poorly written - to the point of annoying.  It was painful to read.  The extensive use of capital letters to make a point was too frequent to be effective.  The author comes across as incredibly bitter.  Bleh.  I wish I could get my money back.
