Hi,

I also am going to Minnesota next fall.  I live in the area so if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

Law School Rankings / Re: Bad G.P.A./ Okay LSAT

Just seeing if anyone has been (or is) in my boat and can share how the application process turned out for them.  I am a URM with a 2.7 GPA and a 174 LSAT.  I applied pretty late so I haven't heard anything yet.  I'm pretty anxious and can't find anything to compare to, so any insight would be welcome.

It sure seems like a self-selecting part of the poulation that posts their numbers, but I know it freaked me out when I thought my greatest advantage was just average (my gpa sucks).  For a little while, I was wondering if the average score increased this year.

wolfmann1977,

where did you get the PR survey stat?  Is there a website that has satisfaction surveys for more than just Harvard?

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Feb LSAT Scores on LSAC NOW

My first practice test was a 169 and I scored a 174.

If you are a person who finishes all the questions in the LR sections and just need polishing, I strongly suggest doing the sections backwards.  That way your mind is fresh for the hard ending questions, and the crunch time is less stressful b/c you are just flying through the easy beginning questions.  I think doing this jumped my score up about two points.

As a caveat, I would not suggest doing this if you do not regularly finish the LR sections.  It could bog you down at the end and lower your score.

I also got a rejection from Boalt yesterday.  I had almost no chance, but still sucks. They sent a letter.

I want to work in international human rights, too.  Where did you apply?

Hi,

I have applied to four "reach" schools in mid-December, but have heard nothing yet.  Are later decisions more likely to be rejections?
