I think I chuckled a little after opening up that envelope. Well played, NYU, well played.

I sent in two because I haven't decided yet. The amount of financial aid from Fordham will be a large factor.

Make sure not to be overly confident in a great LSAT score. I got a 177, and by no means was it a ticket into a T14. My GPA was mediocre, and my WE and ECs were noit that impressive. I had great recs and a good statement, but I haven't been accepted to a T14 yet. However, I haven't been rejected from one yet either. GPA does matter; be sure to apply to some safeties.

I have never heard of the Wire. Once you get hooked on an HBO show, there is no turning back. My husband and I are still catching up on the Sopranos on HBO on Demand.
The Wire is made by the same people who made Homicide in the 90s. Most people haven't heard of that one either though. Another great show.

the sopranos is my favorite. the characters, the long stories, the symbolism, the background music, everything, is just so good and well written
Speaking of HBO shows, has anybody seen The Wire? This is a detective show that focuses on the politics involved in the police department and the drug trade. This is likely the most realistic "cop show" around. If you haven't seen it, give it a try on DVD. It can be slow at first, but it builds such a great story. It unfolds like a novel where each episode is like a chapter in the story instead of being a small stand-alone story.

Have you ever watched Hill Street Blues? I started tivoing it last year, and I ended up loving it. It does have soap operatic elements, but they are limited and usually quite clever. The show is real and surreal at the same time. Funny stuff.
I liked B5 back in the day, but when I rewatched it, I found the acting and dialogue lacking. Great plot though. Farscape is great. First show that I think my girlfriend liked more than I did.
Arizona State. Hahahahaha! As opposed to what? Arizona County? Arizona City? Hahahahaha!
Ok, that isn't really a funny name. It's just that I went to school in Tucson, so I feel like I needed to take a jab at ASU. Ha! It's USA backwards. Losers.
