Bill Gates was also a page

I worked as a Congressional Page for the House of Representatives in High School.  It was one of the best things I did my entire high school career.  I loved it.  I did not see the debauchary that apparently every one assumes is common place for all pages.  I think it really has to do with the personalities of those who are chosen to work as Pages.  The people I hung out with while I worked as a page were my fellow pages who were also my age.  I am sure we could have found trouble had we wanted to. ;) BTW I still maintain contact with many of my fellow pages today, like  8 years later.  Anyway just thought I would put in my two cents since I had firsthand experience with the OP.  I would be willing to answer any questions others might have.

Current Law Students / Going back to law school
« on: August 12, 2006, 08:22:14 PM »
I attended University of the Pacific Fall of 2005.  Due to relocation issues (my husband is in the military) and my concerns about the cost of law school I withdrew halfway through the Spring of 06.  After much time and consideration I have decided that I will be returning to law school in the fall of 07.  I have begun the application process now.  I value the time I have spent evaluating what my passions are and what I want to do with my life.  I have a renewed sense of purpose and desire that I did not have during my first year.  I had to experience the "real world" to realize that I did not want to settle for mediocrity.  Long story short I am wondering if anyone else has gone through a similiar situation? Also if anyone has any advice as to how to go about this in my applications? Will I need to disclose that I matriculated in fall 05 at McGeorge? I did not have any official grades as the classes were for a full year.  The only grades we recieved were for the fall exams.  My grades for these exams were competitive.  My reasons for leaving school were not academic rather I felt a need to re-evaluate.  Any comments/advice ect would be greatly appreciated.

I researched the Marine Corps PLC Law Program very thoroughly.  I completed the application process and was selected to attend the PLC program for OCS. I was about 90 days from shipping out.  I decided not to join after all due to the fact that my husband is in the Coast Guard.  Initially we thought they would co-locate us but found out at the last minute that was not the case.  Long story short, if you are serious and want to know the facts, message me.  Many of the previous posts do not have the facts straight.

I applied to Hastings via LEOP (special admissions program) actually all three schools were through special admissions programs.  Every day I get home from work and sure enough not a single word from any school.  Its all second nature now, I check the mail/online status checker and there is nothing there.  It seems like it will never end..... Has everyone else heard?  ???

I started working a new job :) I have not logged on in weeks.  Still no word from Hastings, Santa Clara, or USF. I know that my chances are just getting slimmer and slimmer. I am really surprised I haven't received a denial from Hastings yet.  So what about everyone else? Have you guys decided where you will be attending?

I saw something about "pupping" on another thread and I didnt get it..... until now.  I love it!! Too funny!  ;D
