Financial Aid / SCHOLARSHIP $ In June, It Happens
« on: June 24, 2005, 12:59:15 PM »
Just had to share,

Golden Gate just sent me a letter(dated June 22nd) and they awarded me a $11,500 merit scholarship. I had already applied for all my loans and everything...just goes to show that there still is a chance even this late in the game!

Happy Weekend!!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you know I received a letter from Golden Gate dated June 22nd, and they are giving me a 11,500 merit scholarship!  I am SO excited....

Had to share with you all, as my husbands response was "thats nice, really won't be much help 4 us right now but means in the future we'll owe less..."

Oh well, I am still excited and proud!

Hey guys, sorry I missed the last one/family issues...But I would def be there this time....

I'd love to finally meet you DB!

All I can say is that I heard if you can get all your cards to 50% paid off -- itll really jump up your score.... Don't even get me started on how those emergency, bumps in the road, etc(esp w/ kids and a dog) hurt the cc ratings....  Boy do I ever hear that.

I am assuming you like me prob need the priv for books, bart, cost of living etc....

Please let me know how it is going....

Thanks Yanky!

Hey all, Got my fin aid award letter from GGU... no $$$ ???

But, on the bright side, I applied with access with my around a 640 and didn't need a co-signer.... I am SO THANKFUL!!!! ;D

I figure, I'll just have to finish in the top 20% so I can earn a scholarship for next year. ;)

Happy Weekend All!

Financial Aid / Not Great Credit but didn't need a co-signer

Hey everyone. Just wanted to share that I have ok credit(close to a 640) and with access I was able to get a private loan w/ out a co-signer.... not their best rate....

But I was so dreading trying to find a cosigner, I don't care....

So, for those of you who are running late in the applying stage, don't just assume if you don't have stellar credit that you'll need a cosigner....
