This is the first time that I won't be working since High School and I'm nervous as well. But I think that for those of you who are still unsure of what to do, Law School will ultimately MAKE that decision for you.

I think that the OP is absolutely correct. I was placed on the Regular waiting list and didn't know what exactly the "Priority Waiting List" was. I think that everyone should re-read what was written above. Also please note that Georgetown's deadline was extended 3 times. I had a very terrible feeling about this when I saw it change and the OP confirmed my suspicions. I feel there is definitely a numbers game going on with them and I'm surprised that others aren't voicing their opinions. Why would Georgetown have 2 waiting lists? Why not just keep the priority waiting list? And why are people who are on the regular waiting list not good enough to be in next year's class if Georgetown would like to have them in their 05 class "if space permits?
 " It doesn't matter to me how this plays out, but something is definitely strange about their practices.

Hell yes you should put down seat deposits. You never pass up a chance to attend a school if you haven't heard back from your other choices. You never know what the situation is, and you don't want to be left out. And trust me I know how you feel. I sent in my $200 deposit for GW on Friday and I haven't heard from 5 schools. If push comes to shove I may have to cough up another $800 in June.

I don't think I'm going to stay on the waiting list either. I would have only picked USC if I got money, but that's not happening. And plus I still have a bunch of schools coming. Though, I don't know how strong my chances are of being accepted right away. Waiting sucks.

I know exactly how you guys feel. I have 6 apps still floating out there. I even called Stanford today and there is still no decision on my file. I would like to hope that they don't all come back waitlisted or rejected. At this point I don't know what to think. I'm tired and just want to know where I'm going already. There are days when I want to just accept GW and close the deal. But I figure I've just gotta make it through 3 more weeks. I've waited all these months, so it shouldn't be that bad.
