I got waitlisted at American and I never withdrew even though I know I won't get in probably because I just love DC so much. Also, I haven't been actively pursuing them.

Hobnobin -- as for your letter, I see nothing wrong with telling them you're starting law school somewhere but you would still attend if pulled at the last minute. I'll probably be sending a different law school the same letter myself  :-\

I've been actively pursuing 3 WL this whole summer. I feel the pain, just wish I knew. It sucks bc I fell in LOVE with one of the schools upon my visit. I even toyed with the idea of taking a year off, retaking testmasters and reapplying...but my GPA is a bit lower now, and even the highest diags I took were borderline for my waitlisted schools. Sigh.

I called today and was told there has been "very little movement" on the waitlist. Then he looked me up and I got the wonderful "no change".

Just posting for the kids waiting. Hopefully yalls luck is better than mine.  :-\

Sorry, I just gotta agree...as a recent graduate of the greatest undergrad in the world (to me at least)...Austin is the perf mix of city life, college town, and has a persona of its own -- not to mention UT is a great school in SO many fields.

Yeah def go to school where you want to practice, but Harvard could take you anywhere. Also, remember that after a few years (like 5ish) of WE, if you're with a firm, you can pretty much transfer cities (this is what I've read/heard) if the opp arises.

Hmm I haven't got anything. I know the move-in for the student housing is the 13th. I was told there's a bbq on the 14th and orientation on the 15th.
