Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: gtown waitlist?
« on: August 26, 2005, 11:34:55 PM »
Georgetown was incredibly rude in not emailing us as they said they would.  I am incredibly disappointed.  I emailed them on Aug 25 to inquire about it and they matter of factly wrote that turnout was high anf that they didnt accept anyone off the list.  We will receive snail mail.  So rude!

yes, it starts next Monday.  I know of people who got rejected last week but I was supposed to hear today.  I would go if I got in, even though I don't expect it at this point.  I just want to hear from them already.  THey've been stringing me along all summer.
Thanks for your support!

Dean Cornblatt said that he would let us know today about the final decision on the waitlist.  It's 7pm and I havent heard anything yet.
Has anyone heard anything from Gtown today?  it would be incredibly rude if they didn't let us know today.

It's 5:20 and I still have not received an email from Georgetown.  Have any of you received one?  THey said they would notify us by email on May 17th.  I hate the wait!

I am not a FL resident right now and I am strongly considering going to UF.  I have called a bunch of times and I never got a clear answer from the UF offices.  Does anyone know if I can become a resident of FL during my 1L and then get instate tuition for my 2nd and 3rd years?  Are there any UF students on this board who know of students from other states who eventually became UF residents while they were students?  Any feedback would be great!  thank you!

Incoming 1Ls / Anyone going to UF?!

I am almost sure that I am going to UF--anyone else?  What are you guys doing about housing?  I've never been there and will go and visit later this month.

I called yesterday and they told me that it might take them until the end of May to make a decision.  That is just outrageous!  they should get more organized.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: I can't decide (Brooklyn or UConn)

Definitely go to Brooklyn.  You are going to have way better job prospects coming out of law school, despite the fact that Uconn may rank higher.  If you want to practice in NY or at least just after graduation, Brooklyn is the way to go.
