Studying for the LSAT / Time from check-in until start of test?
« on: November 03, 2006, 05:55:11 AM »
how long did it take from check-in until you actually opened the test booklet to section one?

How early did you arrive at the test center, and did you do a "warm-up" practice with some lsat problems?

the time frame will include finding the room, getting a seat, getting the speech from the proctors, writing out the infamous statement in cursive, etc.

im curious to hear from a number of people to see if there's a variance between check in and the test itself, great or small, or if there's a standard time lapse. given the reports about varying policing of timers and timing, i'm expecting a variety of responses.

This is the first step in the lsat post mortem process - which section was the experimental and thus not scored?

the june post mortem had multiple threads arguing the same thing, even after the experimental was identified. let's be organized and keep the discussion here.

oh, and if you took a prep course, you might want to check your online student account...just sayin, is all.  ;)

here's a post from june explaining the process:

So, first things first, let's figure out which section was the Experimental.

A good way to do this is for takers to post the order of the section types they had.
What did you have for section 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5?

With just a small sample we should be able to determine which section number was experimental.
(Unless LSAC did something differently today in terms of section layout and test forms than they have done for the last 14 or so years.)

to learn how to do the post mortem, do a search on "Master List"

General Off-Topic Board / What are you listening to?
« on: September 26, 2006, 10:06:17 AM »
what are you downloading, buying, ripping, and listening to on itunes, ipod, etc.?

of course as future lawyers we would never violate copyright and illegally download music off the internet.   :::cough:::  :D :D :D

i'm gorging on jazz just now. bebop, west coast cool, and modern jazz in particular. chet baker, charlie parker, stan getz, bud powell, dave brubeck. also a little samba and bossa nova.
