Studying for the LSAT / Re: GMAT Materials?
« on: July 19, 2005, 08:26:45 AM »
I just took my GMAT this past Saturday..

its nowhere as hard as the LSAT.. i used the GMAT official book published by ETS (its the ONLY prep book that has real GMAT questions) and the Princeton Review book to help review old mathematics concept I'd long forgotten.. i.e. the quadratic formula..

If you are interested, i put both these books up on

My listing's link for the Official Gmat book is:

My listing's link to the Princeton review book is:

Both those books helped me out.. i didnt write in them and only studied for 2 weeks..

In any case, good luck on it.. :)

damn girl, those things look like intestines..

my ass.. or at least thats what everyone always tells me..

and in response to scurvy:

I was that girl everyone always hated because i was super thin and ate everything i wanted.. no matter how much i pigged out, i was super thin.. then somehow in the last 2-3 years thats ALL caught up with me.. i hated exercising and sports my entire life.. but now, i've kinda been recently obssessed with exercising in fear that i'll just keep gaining weight and then it will be too late to do anything about it (or harder).. so i''ve been taking tennis lessons and going to the gym two-three times a week to do some cardio..

I'm by no means fat or have ever been.. just not as bone skinny as i always was.. some people think i look better or "healthier" now.. but i miss being super skinny.. so i've committed myself to watching what i eat (size of portions, not eliminating things from my diet) and exercising regularly.. i havent seen great results.. but i havent gained any more weight either..  maybe i should do more.. blah..

Actually, that's a fun mental image.  Locking all of us in a room together.  Really, picture this.  Pres and Brave would be chillin in a corner with popped collars insulting everyone under their breath, T would be desperately hitting on everything in the room with a wang, Julie would be wandering around aimlessly, muttering, still not using verbs or articles, AJ would be yelling at her and Lane at the top of his lungs, and occasionaly, just for fun, they'd throw a really agressive midget in to represent our weekly trolls.....

oooh i would love to see this..

ooh how about throwing in Twarga and her toilet to that mix..  ;)

just check off the box that best represents your heritage on the application.. write a nice personal statement about your background.. but dont ask US if you are a URM..

I'm Hispanic and i dont remember checking off a box on my application that asked if I was a URM.. nor did I write a PS about it.. I'm who I am.. I never sought out a URM status.. I dont endorse or condemn it either.. if you're a good fit with the top schools, they'll take you.. if not, there are plenty of non t-14 schools that will..

Don't stress about this and work on your PS and other parts of your application that you DO have control over..
