On campus housing? Off campus in Malibu? Santa Monica area?
There's a strong chance that I will be attending Pepperdine this fall. Any suggestions on where I should stay? Thanks in advance

When I was choosing which schools to apply to, I decided to apply to schools where I felt I would get a merit scholarship. $$$$$ was a big concern of mine and I decided that there was no way that I'd go to a school which didnt offer me some sort of scholarship.
However, I now believe it was a mistake to use this strategy. Some of these scholarships are generous on the surface, but are difficult to maintain.
For example, Whittier offered me a 20k scholarship, but I would need to stay in the top 20 percent or I'd lose it all. Based on their attrition rate, I'm more likely to not make it pass the first year than I am to keep that scholarship. Although I am grateful for the offers I've recieved from my schools, I'd caution people to be careful about choosing a school based primarily on scholarship $$$.

Is it too late to apply to Loyola's evening program and expect a reasonable chance of getting admitted with my numbers (3.45, 159)? I would be applying with the intentions of switching over to the day division. I was accepted to Pepperdine and Pacific Mcgeorge less than 3 weeks after my file went complete and I am now regretting not applying to Loyola since it seems like my applications have been well-recieved. Thanks in advance

Just got word today. I'm very happy since I know that many deserving people here have been waitlisted.

Well, I just got an email from Pepperdine saying that a decision has been made on my file and will be mailed out 03/22. This is my first decision of the application cycle so I'm hoping for the best. What do you all think?
3.45/159, Asian/Pacific Islander, regular college extras (fraternity involvement, honors list, several other orgs, blah blah), letters of recs from two professors i have worked directly under.
BTW, I turned in my application on the last possible day (03/01) so they made a pretty quick decision on my file. Thanks for your response

What up everybody,
If a school sends you a fee waiver and invites you to apply, is that a very strong indicator that you'll get accepted? I'm curious because I've been getting a bunch of emails/letters/packets from various law schools in recent weeks encouraging me to apply and mentioning that i qualify for scholarships.
