i didn't mean to criticize you... i'm the freak for cringing every time i see grammatical errors, when i'm sure no one else cares. probably i need to relax a little.

you're not the only one. i cringe every time i see the express check-out signs in the grocery store: "10 items or less." plus, the headmaster at the school where i currently teach constantly says things like, "talk to joe or i." makes me insane.

I used the classified listings on to find places. There are several property managers/real estate companies in there that have websites as well. In general, the nicer 1BR places (with modern appliances, central AC, etc.) run in the $600-700 range, which is why I'd like to find a roommate.

And also: Ragnar, Dave, thanks for all the suggestions.

In general: Let's tone down the animosity. I'm just looking for helpful advice; no need to get into face-offs.

Can you tell we're a bunch of future lawyers?

a warranty that will carry you through law school should be pretty high on the priority list.

A very good point indeed.

As for the processor: it's an Intel Centrino (I'm not too tech savvy, so I'd have to do some research to give you more than that), and I think it has 128 RAM. Definitely has a wireless card.

And, just for the record, I'm a "she." :)

I bought a Dell Latitude D500 about a year and a half ago. I haven't worn it out at all because I have another laptop provided by my employer which I use during the work day. I'm wondering if I should buy some upgrades for the Latitude (my brother, a computer whiz, suggested adding a significant amount of RAM and possibly a new battery), or if it would make more sense to sell it on Ebay and get a newer model.

I'm leaning toward the upgrades (less expensive), so if you have any compelling arguments for buying a new one, please let me know. Thanks.

Received my ding from them by snail mail on Tuesday. Certainly took them long enough. But now I've finally heard from everyone, which is somewhat of a relief.

Any female students who will be UGA 1Ls interested in a roommate? I'm going to look at places on Monday. Looks like there are some really nice 2BR/2BA townhomes/cottages/condos for about $500 each, and they come with all the modern conveniences, including wireless internet and cable.

I have a dog, a Boston Terrier, who will probably be coming with me. He's very sweet, and he's not smelly at all. :) I also have furniture with which I can furnish the living room and dining room.

I'm looking for a quiet, non-smoking, clean, easy-going female. Send me a message on this site if you're interested. If you live in the Atlanta area, we could meet up to chat.

To get back to the original topic: I hear good things about the scenery at UGA, both male and female.
