I get a young Harrison Ford or Dennis Quaid a lot. I think I can live with that, especially since Harrison Ford is my favorite actor of all time. Jack Ryan kicks ass.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Is Washington & Lee Anyone Else's First Choice They've been Admitted to?« on: March 16, 2005, 04:37:02 PM »
W&L is indeed in a beautiful area. I'm definitely considering it, but I'm not sure how good their placement is outside of the Southeast. I've talked to many attorneys on the west coast and some in NY. Many don't know anything about W&L! That scares me a little. These are attorneys at major law firms, and only a couple have heard anything about the school. Also, the alumni base is rather small compared to other top tier schools, so that would probably explain why it isn't as well know outside of Virginia and the south. But, if you want to work in the Southeast W&L seems to be a good choice.
I've visited both schools. I prefered the location of W&M. Williamsburg is a small town but there seemed to be things to do(if you ever take a break from studying!). W&L is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. 3 hours from D.C and at least 1 1/2 hours from any other normal sized cities. The people seemed friendly at both schools, but I visited during the summer so I only came across a handful of students. I felt more comfortable at W&M. The law building at W&L looked like it was straight out of the 70's. It was a little disappointing compared to the beautiful archticture of the undergrad campus.
