Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Texas v. BC v. BU ??

I know BU has an international law program.  You can actually specialize in International Law if you want.  I'm doing the joint Masters program in International Relations and plan on specializing in international law.  Between BC and BU, go with BU if you want to do international law.  BC really didn't have much to offer in that area.

I'm 85% sure I'll be at BU next year.  Definitely want at least one roomate so I can live in a nice place.  Just need to have my own room.  I'm a huge baseball and hockey fan and am very laid back...and funny too! I want to find a roomate(s) who have personalities and aren't too serious to joke around a bit. School will be intense enough.  I don't need my roomates stressing me out too. :P  So, if you're a sports fan with a cool personality and don't plan on partying all the time, let me know. Oh and a non-smoker is a must.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Still Waiting on USC?!?

USC always seems to take forever.  I applied last year and found out I was waitlisted sometime in mid May.  I re-applied this year and am still waiting like everyone else.  I guess they just like to take their time.

kg - are you planning on going to Hastings now?

I don't think so.  I'd like to get out of California, at least for a few years.  I'm probably headed to BU in the fall.

I went to decision over a month and a half ago and didnt hear anything from them until a couple weeks ago when I received my financial aid package.  I was never even notified I had been accepted.

I had posted my displeasure on this board when it happened, and everyone got on my case and blamed the Post Office instead of Hastings.  But, lo and behold I received a letter from Hastings a few days ago saying that a lot of people who were accepted never received letters.  So, make sure you double check with Admissions, especially if you have been at “Decision” for a while.  So, don’t get discouraged if you haven’t heard back.  You’re letter may still be “lost” in the mail.

But the question is..are you a baseball fan?  I think that's the only necessary requirement for a roomate.  Oh, and no smoking.

Of course. A Tigers fan, actually--which means at least in the near future, I shouldn't have much to brag about. Although...

The Tigers play the Red Sox in Fenway Aug. 26-28 (Fri-Sun.)...that would be a sweet way to start the school year, and I imagine it wouldn't be as hard to get tickets since the Tigers aren't that good. Who's in?!

I'm actually flying out to BU this weekend.  I'm trying to get a ticket for Monday's game against Toronto.  It's Patriot Day in Boston, it's the Boston Marathon, plus Schilling is pitching.  Should be fun!  Anyone else going to be there??

I could handle one or two roommates at those prices, thats for sure. As long as its not an animal house I'll be golden.

So nickel, smoker or non? ;)

Haha...definitely NON. I watch a lot of sports, play occasional X-box, drink diet soda and eat LOTS of pizza, and will be a good esteem booster, since I'll no doubt be the "lazy" one of the group when it comes to schoolwork...basically a "low-key" frat boy, if there is such a thing.

But the question is..are you a baseball fan?  I think that's the only necessary requirement for a roomate.  Oh, and no smoking.

I'm visiting BU this weekend and going on the Tuesday tour.  I'm interested in the housing aspect as well.  Any info on the best places to live would be appreciated.  I'll be spending a couple days apartment hunting, so it would be great to narrow down my search a bit.  :)

Choosing the Right Law School / Where did my acceptance letter go?

After my status changed from complete to decision over 3 weeks ago, I have heard absolutely nothing back from them regarding my admission.  Then, today in the mail I get my financial aid package without ever getting an acceptance letter!!

This happen to anyone else?

Jessica Alba - She's even more attractive in person.

Drew Barrymore - She's very sweet and bubbly.

John Lithgow - He would read his scripts while walking his dog on the UCLA campus.  His wife is a professor there.  We ran into him one day, and was pretty friendly.  Just talked about the USC/UCLA game.  I guess he expects to run into people if he walks around campus.

Luke Wilson - I'm not a big fan.  But, that's because he dated my ex-girlfriend before we went out.  Oh yeah...and she was a Freshman in college!!  But, supposedly he rubs his chin a lot, just like he does in all his movies and drives a black porsche.  Man, I hate that Luke Wilson.

Danny DeVito - Ran into him at an icecream shop.  He is so tiny!  He literally came up to my waistline.  He was with his wife, Rea Pearlman who towered over him.  And she's no more than 5 feet tall!

John Kerry - Got to meet him when he flew into LA last year.  Worked on his staff and met him at a private gate at LAX.  I felt so cool hanging out with the Secret Service all day.  All I needed was some sweet shades and an earpiece.

Oh, and Barry Bonds waived to me and my brother when we saw him in the player's parking lot at SBC Park in SF.  That probably doesn't count.
