Law School Admissions / Re: Appeal

If the LSAT brought about your downfall then take it again in June, score exceptional, then appeal with the new index number. Chances are, as always, slim but it is a pretty admirable thing; fighting till the end. I sure as hell would be impressed by the tenacity.

Law School Admissions / Re: Top Entertainment Law Firms in Los Angeles
« on: April 29, 2004, 12:02:01 AM »
I work in Hollywood for one of the top agencies and deal with entertainment Law Firms on a day to day basis; what firm in Santa Monica??; breaking into the trenches of entertainment law is all about connections; the big and mid size firms only handle litigation and are not involved in the day to day activities of the celebrity clients. Where you went to school or how well you did is a consideration but connections easily outweigh it.

Law School Admissions / Re: Random thoughts on law school...

How about Law School as a Big Joke!!! Enough morbid thoughts; lets try something light: Law School as a easy, piece of cake; a relaxing massage of the intellect; three more years of spending other people's money; an opportunity to indulge in the occupation of being young.....F*** it, who am I kidding.

My impression has been that UC's paramount consideration is GPA, then LSAT and if u dont make the cut you're out buddy regarless of WE and any save the world stuff.

However, i think SC makes an effort--albeit slight--to look at other credentials. i know of some really interesting people with low numbers who got dinged at UCLA and in one case even Loyola but got into SC!!!

Dinged from UCLA today as well!
Chooster, what a bonding expereince. F*** em, i want to go to SC anyway.
