Sorry more questions....

say I can't use the same letter or the same person... ( been out of school and in workforce for almost 10 years now)..
can I use two people from the same office?

???  can I use the same LOR? Would it still be on file? I applied just last year and didn't get in..

alternatively....

if i can't use the same exact LOR.... can I have the SAME person write a different LOR??
Will they check?

random thought, but I haven't attended any open house or school events that are designed to help students get to know each other and stuff and am just waiting for orientation day week when I won't know a single soul and everyone is chumming it up. I've started from scratch so many times, I don't even know if I have the energy to make new friends, knowing that inevitably everyone says goodbye anyways. sorry for the downer. never post things after downing 13 bottles of sake. but I'm still happy that I got into a good school and am going to make the most of it! congratulations everyone!!

less safe areas??? :o  how unsafe are we talking here? I lived in nyc and bkk so I'm hoping I won't be too phased by downtown albany. but you never know... did u feel you were in danger in those areas or just being on the safe side. must be nice to have a car *jealous glare*

hey loulie, thanks anyway for the apartment info. good to know. I am freaking out about whether or not I need a car. I moved to Japan six years ago right after college and let my license expired which means I couldn't get a car even if I could afford it. I also really do not want to dorm.
I was checking out renterguidealbany.com  and using mapquest to get an idea of how far things are from the school.Maybe this can be helpful to you mpfg. I'm willing to walk up to 30 minutes to school if it's a nice enough place. I wish I did have a car though *sigh*

THANK YOU!!!!!! I was a bit torn about my decision but hearing so many positive things about Albany has really helped. I'm doing a lot of my research online be(cause I can't really be there until D-day. I'm digging hard for dirt and negative things about the school to brace myself but have not found ANYTHING. things are looking good. I had read somewhere that it's a really competitive school. That's kind of a turn-off but it's nothing I can't deal with I guess. I do have some concerns about social life there though, I'll be going there totally alone. Family and friends in other countries. Is there a friendly atmosphere?  So many questions and only a few more months to go. eek!
