Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Santa Clara -- Ding
« on: April 02, 2006, 06:18:22 PM »
i still haven't heard from santa clara, but people have mentioned that their admitted students day was this weekend. i'm guessing this means i'm either rejected or waitlisted.

seems like i've heard wake forest has a...not sure how to say this, but people have had bad experiences with them and waitlists. law school and undergrad. (i was wl'd by them in undergrad and they called me in june to accept me but i had to decide within 12 hours, and i was visiting another school..and i've heard of this happening with several people.)
this is why i didn't apply to wf for law school, although i loveeee their campus.

i'm waitlisted at tennessee, miami, pittsburgh, pacific (but withdrew), and am expecting a few more from the schools i haven't heard from. grrrrrrrrrrr.

i'm not a web design expert, but if a school looks like it hasn't put enough time and effort into its website, i count it out. then again, those schools with crappy websites probably have other problems too

Unless, of course, you're a UF graduate interviewing with an FSU graduate after the Gators just shellacked the 'Noles. Then you're on your own.

hahahaha. the one reason i didn't apply to fsu (besides that tallahassee has a funny smell to it) is because i am a gator grad, and i just can't see myself living in the enemy's quarters, much less giving them my $$! go gators.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: where (not physically) is UNLV?

UNLV generally does not send out notices until April. At least according to their website, viewbook and the admissions people I have spoken with. I received an earlier notification, but I also wrote (and faxed) a separate letter requesting this, after speaking with an admissions person (and being asked by him to do so).
ahh, good to know. i just wish i had a decision before seat deposits are due for other schools.
did you get in?

It seems like, at least from, the only people who have received decisions from UNLV are those with acceptances. anyone?

i'm thinking i am probably on another waitlist haha..but, it seems like their tuition went up a lot from last year also.
