Could someone tell me some more about the NYU admit day?  I toured NYU's buildings and such, but I didn't feel like I met a lot of students.  Did they seem pretty happy?  Did the professors/students laugh easily?  Did people seem cooperative, reasonably honest,and such?    I guess I looking for someone to describe the 'vibe' there.  Thanks!

I talked to a lot of students, and they seemed to emphasize they were happy....I sat in on a crimlaw dui class and there was a ton of laughter.  The vibe stems from the village, easily the best place to be when you are in your 20's

I visited both schools this past week and am still torn about where to attend.  I found the students at NYU to be much more laid back and personable.  Although the CLS students were very nice, they seemed more type-A and competitive.  CLS really sold its history though.  They gave out the bios of every speaker and hammered in its years of excellence.  I found myself thinking I could go to NYU where it would be a better overall experience or I could go to CLS where the name would have more prestige and there would be stronger alumni contacts.

What did you think?

Also, I was a bit disheartened when I learned of the massive debt I would be handling coming out of CLS (NYU gave me some money).  Everytime I asked a CLS student how they planned to handle it, they said that the massive salaries at Big Law Firms would take care of it.  But what about those of us who don't care to take the corporate route??  Everytime I asked NYU students about the debt, they said that either I could join a big firm and reap the rewards of the salary or the LRAP would help if I chose public service.  Isn't it weird that no CLS students even mentioned public service?

Go to NYU like I'm doing.

Heres the handbook kids, study it:

3.0 = Face
4.0 = Body (Titties/Ass/Puzzy game)
2.0 = Good Convo
.50 = High Metabolism (eating fatty foods with a chick is cool)
.50 = Common Sense

10 = dimepiece

you have inspired me:

2 = Sense of humor
3 = Intelligence (meaning I don't have to "dumb down" my conversation, and I can occasionally learn something from them)
1.5 = Social Ease
1.5 = Looks
2 = Similar Values (politics, religion, morals, etc)

This is bull *&^%, looks are the seemingly most important facet of a succesful relationship.  No solid relationship happens when there is not a similar correlation in the partners looks

I've never been drunk.

I've never registered with a political party.

I've never participated in a non-violent direct-action campaign.
It's strange that it looks like you're hitting a joint but yet have never been drunk

I've never been to boston

Well, I got into my number one choice (Tulane) and the deposit (at least the first part of it) is in, but now I am having second thoughts about the prospects of taking out over $100,000 in student loans....especially when I could go to a state school and end up less than $40,000 in debt when I graduate....Add a new offer of instate tuition at FSU into the mix, and the fact that I am still waiting on Bama and Houston (umm, wtf Houston, my file has been in review for 2 months now!) and I have no idea what to do.

Anyone having second thoughts about their dream school with killer debts and the possibility of having to take a horrible job upon graduation just to pay it off, verses cheap state schools with decent job prospects?

Eh, this process stresses me out more and more each day....

I'd be more worried that my school would survive the enslaught of another hurricane season

I think one of the most important parts of a succesful relationship is dating someone with similar looks (not inbred style but similar number on a 10 scale)
