You're still better off holding off for a year, gaining some work experience, improving your applications and soft factors, and reapplying.

Law School Applications / no campus visits during finals week
« on: April 25, 2005, 11:11:02 AM »
I don't get it. What does the admissions office have to do with finals week? I'm travelling in from out of town, and while most law schools have been accommodating, one in particular has not.

They claim that they do not conduct visits to the law school during finals week.  ???  ???  ???

What other schools are you waiting on? Did you send in the deposit? What is your top choice and what are your numbers?

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Strictly 4th Tier

You should focus on your interests!!

UDC is a strong school for Public Interest. Also, being in DC, I'm sure your immigration focus can be turned into some great jobs prospects.

However, since St. Thomas has an immigration clinic, that is a good option for you as well.

Also think about location. Where you would want to live, practice? Where is your family, etc?

Where should I go next fall? / Re: FIU, Miami, or defer?
« on: March 11, 2005, 11:21:11 AM »
Probably with your child starting their first year of elementary school, it would be better to defer at both schools. During this year, you could work and save money and even retake the LSAT for a better score and hope for Miami to provide you with $$$.

just my 2cents.

Law School Applications / Nova
« on: March 04, 2005, 04:09:12 PM »
this is in regards to nova southeastern, not villanova

I have heard that some people have been accepted; I have also heard that decisions will not be mailed until the middle to the end of march. Does anyone know someone that has been accepted or could anyone confirm which is true??

Also, what is this webmail login ID/pw mailing that I have heard about?? I haven't received anything yet!!  ???
