Okay, I found my mail.

Yesterday, my husband and I found the missing mail (including my Temple rejection) neatly piled under the toaster--a good distance from where I had thrown down my stuff the day it went missing. MAYBE it slid altogether neatly under the toaster four feet away, but it is pretty hard to imagine.

Well, at least I am not crazy, because I found it. Thought you'd all like to know!!

Now I am just waiting on Touro--the first school I applied to!!

Your cats put it there.

This is what I have to say to Temple for rejecting you:  >:(

I'm afraid to call anyone. Not that it matters...they aren't going to give me a decision over the phone, so it really doesn't matter, I guess.

Hopefully my whirlwind tour of the eaters US will help ease my worries this week.

Gearing up my Charles Kuralt act...

LOL... I just had to re-read this post about four times in order to figure out what you actually meant by "Eaters US", Lane.

Within the next MONTH??? Wow, Temple, that's helpful.  :-\

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: From a hiring partner

the rankings correlate well with this one specific hiring partner's thoughts about the strength of those schools.

BU rejected me in record time. We should burn our BU rejection letters in effigy. Don't you love how they phrased their rejection? "We're sorry, but we can't let you into law school. Be assured that we reached this decision after a thorough review of your credentials." In other words, "trust us, you REALLY DO suck."

legal lady,

i cant believe you are the only elle woods on this entire site! did you somehow patent the reese image so no one else can use it?  hehe

anyways, where else are you waiting to hear from? sucks that you are still in at nowhere, and i assume from your waitlist schools that you are a pretty strong applicant. it isn't like you just cant get in to law school

Hey there, TBone -

I'm kinda surprised that no one else here has the Legally Blonde thing going on, either. I didn't start posting until two months ago, so it's not like I nabbed it before everyone else discovered this board! Maybe everyone else isn't as in touch with their inner Californian. Or, more accurately, their inner teeny bopper.  :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I really appreciate it, although I'm not sure how positive things look at this point. I'm waiting to hear from American, UPenn (yeah right) and UVA (bigger yeah right) so I'm pretty much screwed if American doesn't come through. I was in denial about the weight law school admissions committees give the LSAT when I applied back in November, and I was really dead set on staying in or near a large city on the East Coast. It's entirely my own fault that I'm not in anywhere yet, but hey, you live, you learn.

Yet, like everyone else on this thread, I haven't entirely given up hope for some sort of last minute miracle. And in the meantime, a chalupa a day keeps the sorrows of the admissions process away.  :)

22... 23 is sept. not hoping to marry a lawyer, I think 1 lawyer is enough in a family.

I'm with you on that one. No more lawyers for me. My ex (we were together several years) went to Harvard Law and it ate his soul.

Oh, and I'll be 24 when I start my (soulful) law school career.

Looks more like Bowser to me.
