Woah! I went to 'decision' on the UVA status checker. There's a 95% chance that it will be a rejection, but at least I'll have some news in the coming days.

NO, NO, NO!  You have a 5% chance of acceptance; let's remain positive!  Good luck!

Hey! You should follow your own advice here.

Actually I think the mercury in the Bob's has started to have adverse affects on him.....

he is also gearing up for his big east coast trip....

Legallady, have you been to UVA for a visit...the campus is awsome....my expartner went to UVA for UG and I went to a few football games with him.

I was there a few times in college. The campus is GORGEOUS, and I loved Charlottesville, and I was incredibly impressed that the school puts so much effort into making sure the students actually enjoy their time in law school. I would give a kidney to go there, but I have virtually no shot. We can all dream, though, right? :)

No news from Rutgers, I take it?

(although I second your nomination!)

But I thought Lane was the Sergeant-at-Arms?

Also, if you can stand living with more than one or two roommates, a lot of young professionals and grad students in DC live together in row houses. You can find a lot of these on Craig's list (craigslist.org). I have a lot of friends who do this and end up loving their houses and their roommates. This makes rent substantially cheaper -- down to 500 or 600 a month for your own room -- but comes with the drawbacks of group living (sharing housework and chores, etc). If you're going to American, you might also want to look at places on the Red line in Maryland since it's so close to the NW DC border.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Spring Break in Law School

A friend of mine in LS just spent a week in Puerto Vallarta with a bunch of other 2Ls being drunk as a skunk. So, no, I don't think you'd be breaking precedent if you went on a crazy spring break trip.

checking in since it's been a while.  Still in the subgroup in at nowhere I want to go.  How many people still truly are in at nowhere?  Anyone besides the guy with the Family guy dog avatar (werbz I think, too lazy to look up his name) that truly is in at nowhere still?

MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! Although I am currently in the process of avidly trying to woo my way off of the GW waitlist. Come on, gee dubbs, lemme in!
