40 per class, right?

That's about right - more for legal writing, just about that for Torts and a bit less for Contracts. It takes awhile though b/c the content and objective is different than just reading for fun or the kind of reading we did as undergard's (or even as an MBA student). The good part is that the reading is mostly pretty interesting - real cases and real people...

Means if you have 3 classes the next day (I have 3 classes each day, except Tuesday when I only have 2 classes), you have to read 120 pages???? That is insane amount of reading.
I have notice that casebooks contains more than just cases, large portion of them is general writings on broad topics like 'what is negotiation' or 'the defense of legal insanity' or the author's 'notes' on a particular case.  How much emphasis do we put on those?  Do we only read the cases carefully and just skim through these 'extra' stuff?

Indeed yes, my car has been in the repair shop and I have no place to go.  A minute seems like eternity.  Damn! In law school, there probably won't be such a thing as too much time.

Drake students can at least get the prestigious position of buying coffee for fellow U-Iowa grads.

I drove through the area when I was on my way to Canada, didn't know there was supposed to be a town there.  I swear I didn't see a single living soul, well, if we don't count the gas station clerks.   ;D
you drove through THE AREA. give me a break, if you drive on the highway, how can you see the town??? Even if you drive through the Boston area, you dont see boston downtown.

I don't know what you are talking about.  How can you drive though Boston and not see downtown?  Have you even been to Boston?

Let me start by saying that yes, I did have some personal issues come up during my jr. year.  I got married, had a son, worked, and had to drive an hour one way to school each day while taking 20+ credit hours a quarter.  With that said my priorities did change.

I have been doing a little research and have found out that the average starting salary from the University of Dayton is only $50k.  I currently live in the Dayton area I am the executive vice president at an electricial wholesale company and I am all ready making over $50k and will be making over $80k within the time it would take to finish law school.  On top of that I will be thirty in a few months and I do not believe the ROI is worth my time.

I thank you all for your comments and suggestions.

You are making 50k and will be making 80k in a few year? Why the hell would you go to law school?  Unless you got accepted into a T14, law school will mean a decrease, rather than an increase in your earning potential.
