Actually, if you'd like me to do a little research I know factors to which males are attracted are published in several evolutionary psychology journals. Number one usually is 'kindness' and somewhere down the line is some form of non-domineering (only made the list what is desired in females by males).

Both kindness and non-domineering are pretty antithetical to the typical lawyer since they tend to be confrontational. Of course all this is an average-case not an always-works-this-way case.

I would say his opinion that men on the average do not want the average female lawyer over the general population of females could be proven true.

As far as being sexist, I just dont see it.

I am of course a male and a psych major.

If 'Hispanic' and 'African-American' get a box so should 'Slavic' or 'Slavic-American'

I wrote in Moravian/Slavic on my application just so they adcomms would have to learn some geography.

Wow.

I applied to 11 schools. 2 Early Decision and have never heard of this. I even went to a conference of UH, UT and STCL and they talked about early decision and never mentioned anything being binding. Plus lots of folks on www.lawschoolnumbers.com have applied to MANY schools ED, I dont wanna post their names but if you want just search under ED applicants to Baylor and 75% of those folks have several ED applications.

My question is where is this printed? Its not on any schools application that I saw. It isnt on a website for any school. Just seems strange.

Also if this is all true does being deferred change the ED 'contract'.

Irregardless made its first real appearance in a speach by FDR. If its good enough for a president its good enough for me.

I love the LSAT. No prep course, no high dollar self-study course, I merely bought a book and 'taught myself' how to make a good grade. Whole thing cost me $30 and many hours in the library.

164 score-- and thank God, my GPA is a 2.95.

And I got into Baylor. :)

Where should I go next fall? / Baylor Acceptance Letter Question

I received by Baylor acceptance a few days ago. The letter though was an invitation to open house, opened with "Congradulations on being admitted to Baylor."

My question is, is this what every Baylor accept gets? I don't see tuition deposit deadlines or anything like that normally seen in acceptances.

Please let me know.

JD is a relative term.

I -believe- (dont know 100%) that foriegn attorneys that have practiced for enough years from a common law nation and that have a LLM can sit for the bar in some states.

Also unaccredited schools can issue JDs and those students can sit in some states for the bar.

But to be realistic practicing without a JD went out of style with the stovepipe tophat.

I applied this time around.
2.95/164 from UT-Austin.
And I applied all over texas and our numbers are pretty close. I can tell you that at UH there is little chance (last years medians = 160/3.57) and they like GPA.-- I was an auto-reject there.

UT actually took longer to ding me.
STCL should be a no-brainer (possible $$).
I would tell ya that if you dont mind the location check out Texas Tech I'm probably going there and they gave me 50% tuition $$. Secular school, easier numbers, still decent rep.

In addition to the ones above that I'm still waiting on. I was dinged at UT and UHouston(ED). I've been accepted at Texas Tech($) U of Arkansas (both) ($) and South Texas CL (possible $). The two "W" schools are W&M W&L -- the two USNEWS whores.

I disagree. I got 50% tuition and I was NOT ED-- but i did apply rather early in the process-- complete 12/1 to Tech that is.
