I applied to the 43 schools who actually have teams in the tourney.  as they get knocked out, i withdraw my app.  this seems more logical than some of these decisions i see people making.

Congratulations!  The situation certainly could be worse for you.  What are your numbers?  Did they send you an email?

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Teaching Quality at Schools?

My 2 cents:
Even the "richest" schools can't hire EVERY great teacher.  That's why the 'lower' schools send you info about their faculty.  They're from Harvard and Yale as much as any other school.
In reality, I think a large part of the "teaching quality" at a school has to do with the students.  That's the beauty of the socratic method.  Chances are, you'll learn more and have a better understanding of the concepts when your classmates are prepared for worthwhile classroom discussion.

Nobody should go to law school if it's just about the money.  It's a recipe for disaster - and there are a lot of other, easier ways to make a lot of money.

Such as? ;)

you could always just give up and manage a hedge fund.  everybodys doing it.
thats my plan b  ;)
the operable word in his first statement was "easier."  everybody's doing it.  not everyone is doing it well.

I got dinged by national fuel today...  gas bill.

I'm in the same boat that it would basically take full tuition to change my mind.  My grandfather lives just across the river in Illinois, so I'll probably live with him for the first year.  What company do you work for?

Yeah, let us know if we miss anything important.  I think I'm just gonna go to Pitt's open house that same weekend...

This decision certainly depends on the individual.  It's hard for any of us to tell you which school you should attend, since we don't really know you all that well...  That being said... go to Michigan.

My wireless internet has just enough range that I can sit under the mailbox and wait for the mailman while checking my status/email online.
