Flip flops...

It can be blizzarding and 20 degrees out, and you have some abercrombie wannabe walking into the library on his/her cell phone w/ torn sweat pants and a black north face jacket, just slapping their feet on the floor like a tennis racket on a steak...  all while you're trying to study...  have some self respect.

although i'm not sure you want a piece of this...

We hijacked this thread in just under 8 minutes, which is about the time it takes me to drive from my apt to Juliet's (the nearest adult entertainment).

The nearest 7-11 is 1 hour 10 minutes from my apt.  about 75 miles....  mmmmm slurpees...

Congrats guys!  at least you have a month to make your decision.

I applied to the 43 schools who actually have teams in the tourney.  as they get knocked out, i withdraw my app.  this seems more logical than some of these decisions i see people making.

Congratulations!  The situation certainly could be worse for you.  What are your numbers?  Did they send you an email?

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Teaching Quality at Schools?
« on: March 15, 2005, 01:11:39 PM »
My 2 cents:
Even the "richest" schools can't hire EVERY great teacher.  That's why the 'lower' schools send you info about their faculty.  They're from Harvard and Yale as much as any other school.
In reality, I think a large part of the "teaching quality" at a school has to do with the students.  That's the beauty of the socratic method.  Chances are, you'll learn more and have a better understanding of the concepts when your classmates are prepared for worthwhile classroom discussion.
