What are you doing in the Akron office? I am in Bus. Development in Columbus for the summer. I am just out of college, so not too much real world experience yet. What about you, a return to school or simply grinding away for another 3 years?

Sorry to start another topic, but the old one seemed dead. What is everyone doing this summer, and who will be in Columbus? All of my friends are spread across the country now and not many are returning to Columbus immediately. I am working for Vorys doing grunt research TBD. Anyone else whose going to be in the area, drop a quick post and we can all meet for drinks or meet at BW's for a baseball game. I am going to be mind-numbingly bored this summer, so drop a note.

It obviously depends on what you want to spend and if you have a car or are willing to take a bus. If you aren't going to live on campus, then there are a few places that make sense. Grandview, and Victorian Village both make a lot of sense. If you get into Arlington, you are probably going to pay more for an apartment than its worth cause of the schools.
Little history: Northwestern Graduate (illinist, you go to NU?) Grew up in Arlington and know the area well. I'll be home all summer, but in Chicago until I walk for graduation. I am going to live in the apartments next to the law school. 4

I just recently decided to attend Ohio State Law school. I really don't have anything all that specific to talk about. Just wanted to start a board for all the incoming 1L's to talk. I am originally from Columbus, so I know the area very well (grew up in Upper Arlington, 3 minutes from campus) I'd love to hear from you guys and if anyone will be there this summer, I am working at Vorys downtown, so I'll be around. I'd love to meet some of you guys and gals and get to know you before the work starts.

Is anyone else going to the OSU visit on April 1st? Just wondering if there is anyone else out there. Also, anyone who is interested, we should go out and party that night down on campus. I am thinking Bento for happy hour, then to 4 Kegs? Maybe Arena District?

Having read the previous posts, I feel compelled to point out a glaring flaw in the argument against gun control. The argument that guns are a part of American tradition/heritage is nice and pretty, but forgets to realize what else was considered part of American tradition and heritage, slavery. Slavery WAS an american tradition until it was abolished. This followed many other countries, such as Britain, abolishing the practice, as they have recently done with guns.
While there are arguments, particularly self-defense, that create a justification for guns in civilian hands, simply arguing that its a tradition is not satisfactory to combat the dangers they present and most assuredly cause. While a good deal of guns maybe stolen, there are a significant amount purchased legally to do horrible things. Please respond by arguing, not railing on me for curtailing "constitutional liberties." Remember that without the civil war, we would not have passed the 13, 14, 15 amendments, because the southern states would still have been in the Union. 9

This is my last set of Finals this week, and I am supposed to hear back from like 5 schools, and I leave for Spring Break on Friday. This could be the best or worst week of the past few years for me. Excepting of course for that week in Cancun. I mean who would have thought a stripper and chimp could do that to each other for 20 pesos?
