Choosing the Right Law School / I'm DONE!
« on: April 21, 2005, 07:52:59 AM »
UCLA answered my last question via phone yesterday.  I'm done!

I'm going to Emory this Fall! (unless Berkeley sends me love during the summer).

Good luck to all!

Choosing the Right Law School / Emory Housing
« on: April 12, 2005, 01:40:01 PM »
I've got plenty of brochures on UF's housing...

...but I can't find much on Emory housing.  Anyone have any ideas where to look?  I need something for 500 a month, close to Emory, in a nice neighborhood.  Not picky.  Do need AC.

Choosing the Right Law School / Help me choose, please!

FYI: Given 10k a year for 3 years (total of 30k) at Emory.

Visited both Emory and UF this past weekend.  UF is in shambles.  The law school is a disgrace, the admissions folks and tour guides are still not sure they are in a law school, and the town itself felt small.

Admitted Students day at Emory was wonderful.  Still concerned about their ability to get students hired, but their facilities and professors were impressed.

Still, I'm concerned about spending 25k a year at Emory versus the 6k a year at UF.  Any ideas? Inputs? Help?  I need to make this decision by Friday.

I'm paying this all on my own.
I want to practice in Fla or California.
Interested in BigLaw/Corporate/Transactional.

Choosing the Right Law School / UCLA Stats? Deadlines? Help?

Howdy all:

I'm still waiting on UCLA.  When is their seat deposit due?  Does anyone know when (in the past) they have finished notifying regular applicants?

I applied in early December and I called them earlier this week only to find out my application is still Under Review (although it has been complete since late December).

Want to help me out?  Give a girl some hope?  Just put me out of my misery?

Choosing the Right Law School / April 1st, where are the UCLA answers?

I applied in Early December, was complete by the end of December and I have yet to hear from UCLA.

Technically, I have yet to hear from Berkeley and GW either (since I called in for my answers).

It's April 1st.  How long will I have wait?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR RRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!  (Sorry, just needed to get that out.  Feel free to join in  :P)

They said my decision is in the mail.  That means that I was either rejected...or I've got another waitlist in the bag.

Oh well, just UCLA left and I'm done with this silly game...well, aside from all the waitlists and all.   ::)

Choosing the Right Law School / UF, UM or Emory?
« on: March 29, 2005, 07:36:07 AM »
Hey All:

I want to practice Big Law in a city (most likely South Florida, California or New York).  Which school would you go to?  UFlorida, UMiami or Emory?

Keep in mind that I'm paying this all on my own and as of yet have heard of no scholarships to any of these schools.

Please, help me make my decision!  I'll give you all a cookie!  :P
