Site Suggestions and Announcements / Re: Financial Aid Board?

i completely agree.  financial aid is what i'm most interested in hearing about right now, and sifting through all the other info to find it is a lot of work.

Newy's presence on the "pending" list gives me hope.  Although her numbers are way better than mine.  Oh well.

When you submit the school-specific financial aid form for NYU (if you do it online), they give you a schedule of when you can expect to hear back based on when you submitted it.  I think it's something like late March/early April if you submitted by March 1?  So, another few weeks, at least...I'm sick of waiting too!

I've been complete since 1/6 and didn't get a hold either, so I'm sort of wondering the same thing.  I've heard lots of theories - of course, it's all just total guessing and no one really knows what they're talking about here.  There was one kind of disconcerting thread on xoxo the other day - apparently, 750 people are already registered on Harvard's admitted students' site, and last year I think they only admitted something like 850.  :P

Some people have also speculated that people complete in Nov/Dec are in better shape than those complete in Jan/Feb who still haven't heard anything - because they've already sent a round of rejections to the earlier complete batch, but not to the later one, as far as I know.  Which doesn't bode well for me...(but it might for you).

I'm just trying not to think about it too much though, honestly.  There's no way to know.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Some info on getting our scores...
« on: March 04, 2005, 10:29:45 AM »
Last February they were released on a Saturday night. This past December they were released on a Friday night, both after 7PM EST. Anyone took or know of someone who took them in June and October know appoximately what time the scores were released?
Evening versus day?

I took the October test and got my score email at 6:59 PM the Friday before scores were supposed to come out.

Let's hijack this thread and talk about something else. *Anything* else. So, everybody else looking forward to the return of Family Guy? The series had issues, but I'm a really big Stewie fan.

my wife loves that show but i can't stand it. The father guy, he's so reprehensible and lazy. Sure, Homer Simpson is that way too, but Homer has some redeeming qualities that make him lovable at the same time. But this Family Guy dad, there's nothing to like about him.

My boyfriend and I were just doing the Family Guy/Simpsons comparison the other night and I said almost exactly the same thing.  You're just SUPPOSED to hate all the characters in Family Guy - it's funny in a really mean-spirited way.

But still funny.
I don't get my wife's love for the show.
