It doesn't really make sense.  IF you think about it, "ding" is the sound on a game show when you get the question right.

A buzzer usually indicates the negative.

If you want to be accurate, you should call them "errrr's"

Just trying to lend some frivolity to an otherwise depressing area of LSD

There is a 50% chance that I will be working for another year and reapplying to schools.  My raw numbers are iffy at best 3.1/163, but I have a great job that pays very well and I don't want to go to law school just to go...I want to get into a top 40 school.  I did apply to two or three safety schools, but I don't see myself actually attending them.

Anyone wanna place bets on this list?

Indy - Bloomington
Ohio State
Colorado - Boulder

Any other Grateful Dead/jamband fans out there?  Any of you worried that attending law school will cause you to miss out on some killer shows/festivals?

Incoming 1Ls / Anyone get in where the numbers said you couldn't?

I want to hear from anyone who got into a school with less than the 25% GPA and LSAT.  Tell your story!

I have severe, almost ridiculous grade acceleration and am hoping someone looks past the raw numbers and sees it. (Left college in 94 with a 2.3 GPA, straight A's upon my return in 1999 leading to a 3.1 cum GPA that looks awful on my apps)

I am sorry, but I just can't believe that so many people seem to have zero confidence in their own abilities to write a decent personal statement and that some of the ridiculous "movie script" style statements worked.

I read some of the ones on those sites and nearly gagged. You aren't trying to get into a creative writing program, you are trying to get into law school where making assertions that you support with evidence and legal citations win cases - not bull.

Sorry, just venting.  I had no idea that getting into school was going to be another racket where those who can afford it get ahead.
