Where should I go next fall? / FIU for part timers
« on: December 18, 2006, 10:34:01 AM »
I'm interested in going to FIU in 2009.

To those who are attending the school, please describe your experiences as a part time student. Is the work load heavy? Light? Do the professors use the Socratic Method a lot?

Where should I go next fall? / Back Up Plans, Part 2
« on: August 09, 2006, 02:47:50 PM »
I've decided not to apply this year to LS. I will continue to work as a social studies teacher, and prepare for the LSAT. Since the new ABA/LSAC policy is in effect this year, admissions to a top law school (which I'm not applying to) is going to be a little competitive.

What are some of your back up plans?

Non-Traditional Students / Careers with Law degree
« on: July 31, 2006, 07:11:20 AM »
What do you plan to do with your law degree? I hope to work for a government organization.

Since I plan to practice labor, international, and public interest law, I want to work for the EEOC or a non profit organization.

What are the best schools for labor and public interest law?

I asked one of my graduate professors to write a LOR in June for law school. I called him and we talked for a while about it. It's been more than a couple of weeks since I heard from him. Should I call him again? Or e-mail him to see what's going on?

I took the LSAT in December 2001, and I did not do well. Are expired scores reported to the law schools?
