Wende told me that they waitlisted me for both programs and she put a note in my file saying that I would prefer the evening program. Nothing else I can do but wait, I suppose.

My letter was dated April 18th. I just sent an email to Wende. I asked for consideration into both the day and evening divisions. Quite frankly, I would prefer to continue working through school, so as to limit my debt as much as possible. The letter gave no indication for which program I was being waitlisted. I'll see what she says, I suppose.

I too, am waiting to hear back from Denver. I have been complete for 4 months. I sent in a LOCI to Wende the day admissions deposits were due. She told me the Committee would start looking at more apps late this week, once they determine the extent of withdrawals or non-depositers.

Law School Admissions / Re: Leaving work for law school?

Well, I have been working for ten plus years, and actually worked through UG at my current job. I really respect my boss and, as such, I will be giving her one month. However, I did give her a heads-up during my year-end review that I have applied to law school. I told her that I am considering both full-time and part-time options and have not decided if I am leaving. Further, I told her that if I am leaving, it will be the end of June (I have to pack up my house, wife, and move so I wanted a month or so to get all that ready). At least this way, I have provided her, as a respected boss, time enough to replace me. However, she is happy for me.

Have any of you guys/gals started the financial aid process? If so I need some serious help with this anyone care to answer a few questions?

I pretty familiar ith this stuff. PM or post here, and I will try to answer your questions.

If it makes anyone feel any better, this is my thrid (yes third) cycle. The first two times, I limited myself to the area I was already located (two schools). I was rejected from both schools twice! I almost decided that I was not going to law school. Finally, I decided I would just have to go to a lower ranked school, and make a move. So, here I am, round 3. Waitlisted at: Houston, Oklahoma. Denied at: Georgetown, Texas. Accepted at: Tulsa, Texas Tech, and South Texas.

At least I know that I will be attending law school in the fall.

Law School Admissions / Re: Non Trad Resume

An acedemic resume should not look like your professional resume. It should list acedemics first, followed by your career experience. Even so, you do not want to list your work experience, especially if in a technical field, as you would for a prospective employer. A law school adcom is not looking for the same things. They are looking for leadership, overcoming obstacles, etc. They do not care that I provisioned Earthlink's internet backbone, per se... Does that make sense? And you absolutely should list acedemic accolades, etc.
