I was really hoping for BC to flop with BU.  I'm happy it moved up two spaces, but it makes me unsure if I am willing to move clear across the country from San Diego to Boston if the program isn't going to get better.  It had some good glory days of T22, however schools like Fordham jumped like 6 spots to tie with BC now.  (Althought I did not get into Fordham.)  BC is still my front runner (as no California Publics have actually gotten back to me.)  Then I get to make some harder decesions.

hey don't worry about brookly,

you know, oh well, you won't be able to live in there new grand super duper dorm for freshmen...oh yeah or attend their law school...(hahah lol.)  Don't worry about it man, you'll do great anyway.

Is anyone going to the BC Admitted Students Reception in LA on April 6th?

What should we wear?

When did we have to RSVP by? (Crap, I hope it isn't too late.)

We should chat!  (Especially since I need a roommate/place to live next year and I've never even been there yet!)

Yay BC!

Well I got rejected from Fordham, my mom told me the news right after I lost 60 bucks at the crap tables in Vegas.  My luck was definitely at an all time low.  And for a few moments, even being in Vegas wasn't enough to make me happy again--but that quickly turned around with all the indoor smoking and outdoor drinking (shivers, those are two amazing things, considering it's illegal in California where I reside.)

Anyway, I had a question about Cardozo.  I got a call from them letting me know about my acceptance.  I was wondering if everyone got this?  Also, does anyone know anything about how Merit Scholarships work at Cardozo?  I talked to Rob S. (or something) and when I asked him, he replied that I was not selected because of my LSAT score but that I should call back if this becomes a big issue for me.  He seemed really persistant that I looked over my options and call back about getting Merit Scholarship information--does this mean anything, or am I just being dumb?  Finally, is anyone going to the Open House on April 10th/11th.  He told me that they would reimburst me up to 400 dollars, but I am wondering if they will only reimburst me if I attend Cardozo, or they will give me the money either way.  I would hate to go, hate the school, and be out 400 bucks.  I have not gotten my packet yet, he told me it would arrive in a week or so (is all that info contained in the acceptance packet?)  Finally, Cardozo fell in USNEWS, how do people feel about this--is it gonna go up, or will Brooklyn over take it?

Thanks for listening!

::clutches heart and raises hand towards the fates::

For some reason I really wanted BC to overtake BU this year, well, I guess the reason is: I want to go to BC and I wanted this little boost of confidence (ego.)

Who thinks that BU will seriously keep it's high T20 position in the future, or if BC will begin to regain some ground?  I would hate to make a decesion based on rankings, but I would love to go to a school that consistantly improves (as BU has done in two cycles now.)

I am happy that BC moved up a little from last year, but it has yet to regain those T22 spaces that it had a few years ago.

What is going on! Cry cry.

Incoming 1Ls / Re: Law School Dress Code?

This post just used two amazing words:

Tbone: spelunker (have you ever actually gone spelunking?)

Najniran: Banana hammock (are you referring to Princess Consuela Banana Hammock?)

That's great.  That's amazing.  It makes me want to cream myself.

The minutiae of dresscode at law school can be easily resolved, do what I do, look to Elle Woods for all of your answers, from fashion to function, she'll keep you on the right track.
