Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Stanford rejections about to come?
« on: February 16, 2005, 02:45:09 PM »
Hey everyone,
Does anyone agree with me that the massive influx of Stanford rejections is about to begin?  Looking at LSN from last year the bulk of rejections started on 2/20 and continued in a constant stream throughout march and april. Given the massive number of pending applications out there I think the time is near.

This definitely had to be a yield protect.  Your #s are ridiculous Penn has to be absolutely insane, Why Penn essay or not.  I agree with the visitors on LSN, you should throw in an app to Harvard, Yale, and Stanford.  Good Luck

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Boalt...

Well here is the deal looking at LSN. Last year Boalt went in cycles and it looks like they are doing it again.  Last year they rejected in jan, accepted in feb, rejected in mar and april.  This year, however, they accepted in jan, have rejected so far in feb, and it looks like there will be one more cycle of acceptances (possibly now or early march).  If we do not get in at the next cycle I think we are done, but people say boalt likes grades so let's hope we get in on the next cycle.

Sorry to hear that, I have been complete since 11/29 and still no word from boalt (165, 3.92), the longer the wait the slimmer our chances are I think. Good luck.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Tulane "vs" Denver

It's a tough call.  I'm from Denver and I think it is an absolutely fantastic city, if you think you may want to live there long term definitely go to Denver.  With that being said, I've been to N.O. a few times and it is awesome, I think you would probably like your law school experience more at Tulane, plus it is a better school.  Good luck deciding.

Choosing the Right Law School / Anyone want to predict?
« on: February 14, 2005, 11:37:15 AM »
If you want to predict my chances that would be sweet.  I have a 3.92 and 165, I'm in at UCLA, GW, Wash U, out at G'town and Michigan.  What do you think my chances are to get into Stanford, UVA, Duke, Berkeley, and UT??  If I don't get in anywhere else should I go to UCLA or GW?  Thanks everyone.
