I've never moved my cat before and he's had some bad health problems this past spring, so I want this to be as easy as possible on him.  I'll ask the vet about the anti-anxiety drops.

GU - I'm not a fan of beans, but I love black beans (they are healthier than some other beans, too!).  Just try a few things once, to get your bearings, and then if you odn't like it, give it a second chance a little while later.  Sometimes its an acquired taste...like beer.

On the subject of salsas...I found the best salsa in the WORLD!  And I convieniently forgot the name, but its amazing!  Its a black bean and corn salsa, not hot at all (but that can be fixed), but OMG its practically a meal and delicious.  I think you can order it online at www.meierranchfoods.com or something like that.  I can't EVER find it in stores and I look everytime.

My dad tricked us all into eating whole jalapenos...told us it would make us run fast...to the bathroom.  I guess he was right.

Anyone have any hints on how to acclimate a 9 yo cat to a new apartment?  I'm hoping he adjusts well, but anythign I can do to make it easier would be better.

What is the email address for boot camp? I've misplaced that paper.

You're lucky I was just sorting through the Tech papers, sorting out trash from important stuff...so I had it handy.

I PMd you the email addy since its a students.  If anyone else needs it, I can PM it to you.

Include Name, address, phone, email, and if you need a place to stay during orientation.

What in the way of school supplies are yall getting?  I'm thinking about getting a Trapper Keeper for each class...torts especially!   :D

Also, I'm about to sign up for AT&T internet for $12.99. but I can see that it requires a phone line which I won't have.  How much are they charging for the smallest possible phone service?  I think we sorta talked about this earlier, but we didn't get specific.  I can't find this on the internet.

6 days!

Yall make me happy!   :D

Mean people do suck, but I doubt they would be all that interested in our thread, besides, we would probably have it buried over there in the "School Specific" sub-boards, on the one devoted solely to Texas Tech.

I move in one week!  And I'm quite puzzled as to how I accumulated so much furniture over the summer (and during the last two years of college)!  Seriously, I have a lot of stuff.

I had already created my account but my computer was running so slowly at home that I knew there was no way I was to make any progress whatsoever.  So, now i'm on my new fangled laptop in a coffee shop.  I'm gonna ACE this sucker!!  (Or is acing this a sign that I'm a lush?)

Thanks mek.

Jul - It didn't take long at all for me to get my comp.  They shipped it BEFORE my ship date.  I don't remember the exact time, but it wasn't long.  I would wait until you get to Texas.  The trip to Pitt may take the comp a little longer than the trip to Ft. Worth.

I've just discovered the greatness of sushi, so I'd also be interested in any worthwhile sushi places.

TexasTiger - sorry, I don't know about any current deals on apartments, but I'll chime in for Sagewood off of Frankford.  I found out a few days ago that a manager there, or at least an employee, is an Aggie!  Whoop!!

I'm now preparing for law school.  What is my routine you ask?  Well, I"m reading Grisham novels, watching Law & Order, and buying The Paper Chase..  I'll have law school down pat.   ;)
