If it helps get on law review, I will always be your wingman.

Hahahaha I so wish that I could take bribes!

haha, I wish you could too. Now, why don't we just treat this like a business investment. You have something I want, and I am willing to 'pay' for it.

I take bribes all the time. That is the whole point in being the big guy.

I'm not sure what's worth being thrown out of school. :)

Congrats. Sometimes I think that a lot of people (especially those coming straight out of undergrad) don't realize how much effort goes into finding a job. When I've been looking for jobs in the past, I knew I might have to send out 100 resumes to get any calls, and most of those calls would probably come from exploiting any connections I might have.

In the extreme cases, you're asking for a firm to pay you $135k/yr.... to train you!  I think law students get some sense that they actually help.  Most studies say that an associate does not start making the firm money until 2.5 years!  Go into the interviews confident and with a great personality, but remember that you're convincing them to give you a lot of money when they won't get a lot in return.  You like them a lot more than they like you.

LOL...alright, I need to step in and say let's cut it out kids. We're all (for the most part) going to be going to school together in a year and it's best if we at least TRY to start out on the right foot.

No, I don't put up with people who say stupid sh*t.  People want to say stupid things and call me names, I'm going to defend myself.  I'm very visible in the school, and everyone knows where I'll be May 18th.  If somebody (not you, others) wants to grab their baby nuts and speak up then, go for it.  I'll bring a keyboard with me so these tools will feel more comfortable in person.

Grow up!

Hey Alphalpha, grow up?  Who's calling who names?  Who's being an elitist prick, talking down to Cal Western and TJ.  That's unacceptable.

Eddie Munster would be well advised to can the name calling.  We'll handle this if I see you next year and come to a mutual understanding.  This is worthless.

I guess if Cal Western and Thomas Jefferson grads are well respected in San Diego than that's an error on my part but from everything I've read, those that come out of these schools have a very hard time getting jobs. You know better on this so tell me if my impression if right or wrong.

I don't know what you mean by "handle this" and "mutual understanding" but I'm not looking to get into a fight. Just wondering but is this how you treat fellow classmates who disagree with your opinion? The only thing that we disagreed on was whether or not London Bound was hot. Seriously, do you have to be right on everything? Sounds like a HUGE EGO to me!

I don't fight.  But I do have heated discussions.

I guess it's never ocurred to you that doing well on the LSAT is representative of hard work and dillegence in and of itself?

If you said that with less attitude, I'd be inclined to concede a little.

It can show hard work, though its not dispositive.  Some people are naturally better at figuring out who owns the red purse.  Law schools and LSADS have some loose data showing a weak correlation between correctly IDing the how many ways the airplane can be red and law school performance.  No such statistics exist to correlate the blue fish to performance as an attorney.

This isn't an excuse; we all know how the game is played.  If I wanted into Harvard, I needed to work harder at the LSAT.  I could have done it, but I didn't.  Point taken.  But what you're missing is the 1:1 correlation.  I, and I'd guess the vast majority, didn't work harder on their LSATs because they weren't getting any younger.  At some point, you have to make a stand and go with your numbers.  When you make that stand, it's not about a lack of effort.  It's more about mortality and external time commitments.  (You may have to study for that LSAT, but the mortgage company doesn't care.)

For some, the LSAT did prove to be an incredible effort and undertaking.  For others, it was a natural predisposition / talent.  The majority fits somewhere in-between.

I do love your car, it's gorgeous. Whoever took all the photos of it (presumably you) is a fantastic photographer.

Thank you!!  You'd make my HS photo teacher proud. :)

Yet I don't know who you are  :P

That's because you're a 1L.. you only know your books, your mom, and your hand. :)

Just for the record, I like ugly chicks.

God bless you, men can use more wingmen like you.

So you're still cool with the name calling? ;)
