It seems that the first two tiers are considered national according to USNWR.

I'm not sure that's how it goes.  Suffolk is considered "national," while Villanova is "regional."  Eyes of the World gets it...it has to do with the school's curricular focus.

Sorry to hear it, texas1.  Baylor is apparently big on the GPA.  They also rejected me (3.45), and highly encouraged me to apply for spring.  I have much better choices, so it's no problem.

I think the John Marshall is the only merit scholarship they offer too --and I don't know how many they give out of those.  (I was on their Career Services Chat just yesterday, and when I asked about merit scholarships, the JM was all that was mentioned).

If they had asked me to apply, I would have.
