I'm worried that NALP is not up-to-date.  Do they update that thing at all, and how often?  I forgot to search martindale --thanks for bringing that up again; that would have been more efficient than searching individual firm sites.

If you're planning to move-in at the last minute, when are you going apt. hunting?

I am so sick of NALP.  I was on it for hours yesterday.  I went directly to some of the firm web sites listed that recruited at Iowa, but no lawyers from Iowa to be found.

saw your profile on Yahoo! Group   :)  give my best to Austin.

Do tell, which big law firms in TX hire Iowa grads?  God help me if I have to return to Texas to practice, but there's no telling.

that's what I'm aiming for: The Beltway.  and only that.

Iowa places well in TX?  That's odd, I'm from TX and used to work at a Big Law down here and not a single Iowa grad in the whole firm.  Maybe elsewhere.

Thank God someone finally started this!  The Yahoo! group isn't terribly active.

I'd like to know when people are planning to move up there as well.  I will probably be going to Iowa --I've made up my mind, at least, to proceed as though I am.  I plan to move up by July 15, but probably not much sooner.  I will be looking for a place as close to the law school as possible (in decent condition, of course) --on the west side of the river.

You already have housing??  Where is the whiteway bldg?

[Tears & Fears]  I'm really anxious about jobs coming out of Iowa as I want to end up on the east coast.  Reassure me.
