Good call - I never noticed that. What's the catch?
Andrew is able immediately to deduct a portion* of any future earnings in the legal field.
*"Portion" to be defined as "a percentage named at Andrew's whim, multiplied by however many times you've clicked "notify."

1)Case Western - lsat and gpa medians are 158 and 3.19, seems pretty low for their ranking. imo overated school
2)Pittsburgh - just dont think it's that great to be a tier 1
From what I hear, case's rep among lawyers and laymen far exceeds its rankings. The school, again, from "what I hear," recognizes this and is trying to manipulate the rankings accordingly.
Pitt has been buying great professors for years now, and has increased its selectivity as well. There is no reason to think it will fall, and good reason to think it will climb (over the years, that is, not just whatever ranking they get this fall). Plus, Pittsburgh is rated the "#1 City to live and work" and "#1 city to be a young lawyer," the cost of living is extremely low, and the job market competition isn't anywhere near as fierce as most eastcoast and midwestern cities. Yes, I am a Pitt troll, and I plan to attend.

wachtell, lipton, rosen and katz (1st yr associate salary $280,000 including bonus in 2003)
This is seriously the starting salary for associates just out of law school? Now I want CCN even more...
Mr. President is referring to an anomolous year for Wachtell, though, wherein all associates received a year's salary as a bonus. Wachtell had some huge business that year, and it is unlikely that such an insane bonus would happen again soon or at other firms.

Sej, is that you? Damn you got moves girl.
Thank you. I studied modern dance for years in order to perfect my mouth-agape, hips-and-shoulders side-to-side-whilst-wearing-a-belly-shirt move. It's almost perfect.
Your mouth needs be more agape.

Pitt has a lot of money and has been buying good professors away from higher ranked schools for some time. I think their reputation score will continue to improve, their admissions stats will continue to improve, and their placement will remain very solid, if a bit regionally limited. I think the simpler point about Pitt, though, is that, if you prefer to live in Pitt than Boston, for instance, Pitt is a better school than BU or BC. Overall, no one would say such a thing about those schools, pointing to the vast difference in rankings. But Pittsburgh lawyers are loyal to Pitt and Duquesne grads, and any cursory or in-depth search of NALP and Martindale will show this. It's never gonna be top-20, but if it even falls slightly in the rankings, it won't have any significant negative effects. And evidence suggests that the only movement will be in the other direction.

So who's the test-tube shot girl?
Yeah, we hired that one AngieNYC girl (the one with all the crotchpics) but she quit after, like, two days. We think her boyfriend didn't like all the corporate types goosing her.

That soundtrack is worthless, unless it makes you go buy the Shins' albums.
