Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Anyone still waiting on Duquesne?

I sent my app in late march and got accepted on the 19th of april.  They didnt request my report until april 8th or so.  So, there's still some hope left for those that are waiting.

Its free for anyone to apply to Washington & Lee.

The OP probably wasnt sent a fee waiver or anything, they just applied for free.  But still, it stinks for schools to recruit students who have a very low chance of actually being admitted just so they can increase their statistics.

I read your letter and can tell you mine didnt look anything like that.  Mine started something like, "It's been a difficult year for the admissions committee" and went on to say im on the waitlist (they made that very clear) and that most of the people taken off the waitlist are grabbed within 7-10 days of the semester starting.  It doesnt sound like a very enviable position.

You letter clearly indicates that you can go to their summer session if you desire.  Given your numbers, Id call and tell them to kiss your hind parts.

I also received a "hold" letter and my numbers are fairly borderline for case.  So, Im not sure what they're up to.

yeah, i was fairly suprised too, though I did apply fairly late in the cycle (january).  I dont think i would have gone had I been admitted, but it still stinks.
