ok.... how about taking this opportunity you have to experience something new? The US is so big and expansive, that there are many different experiences out there just waiting to be taken advantage of. Im assusming from your post that you are from Cali. Once you begin working there, you wont really have the opportunity to spend that much time in NYC. NYC is amazing, and if you have the opportunity to live there, take it, even if its only for a few years. It will only enrich the person you are and the person you are going to become. The doors of opporutunity don't open for everyone, and they usually only open once or twice in a lifetime if you are lucky, so take the opportunity and try something new. How awesome would it be to say "yeah, i lived in nyc for three years and went to law school there".
as for the money - do good in school, no matter which school you choose, and you wont be worrying about it. You'll pay it back. The experience is worth the money.

ok, thats not funny at all. i shouldnt have made light. But that def made me throw out all mail they sent me before i even opened it.
but i still laugh every time i think about it.
