I am glad to know that my professor will still get paid 100k  a year for a 10-15 hour work week while I have to pay 27k to study for 40-50 hours a week .

100k? Umm,maybe in Miami.

I have AT&T. Since they merged with Cingular,I'd have to change my plan to change my number. I've been with them since 2002 so I'm currently paying 39.99 for 600 minutes + free nights and weekends.

Hi. I will be attending FSU as well. I was set on UMiami, but I decided against it due to the fact that the cost of one year at UM is the same as three years at FSU.

Can anyone tell me how long it took to get a fin aid letter?

I got an email after 3 weeks. Additional funding info was sent via snail mail.

So, the schools aren't really commenting until the law passes?  Nobody has received any information from the schools about this?

They have no way of knowing how it will be applied until it passes.

I'd talk to the whomever handles residency at FSU and UF-not the admissions offices. The residency offices will know before anyone else does how this will be applied. They're also  the ones that make the final call about who is instate and out of state-not the admissions offices.

My guess is the bill will pass-if time doesn't run out first. It was put on Bush's desk on 5/6. He hasn't signed it yet, and he only has about month to do so.

Has anyone going to either FSU or UF from out of state asked whether they would be grandfathered in under the old law, since the decision to attend was made while it was still in effect?

The law still hasn't passed yet. They won't be able to give you until it does(if it does).

http://www.law.fsu.edu/admitted_students/forms.php

I just noticed these forms on the website. I don't know if FSU has contacting any of there incoming people about them yet.

I spoke to the admissions department a few weeks ago to make sure they received my deposit. When I asked them whether there were any other forms that I needed to send in, they said not right now. They added that they will be sending the forms that you are referring to in June for us to fill out.

HTH.

The lady I spoke to on Friday told me to start sending them in.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Visiting FSU

Is it necessary to rent a car?

They have a bus system,so probably not. If you're taking a greyhound, the law school is within walking distance of the station.

Did it pass? Last I heard it hadn't been signed.
