So does Tony Blair still have a job? I lived in England for 7 years.

You're right, sorry. Sports was on TV. I guess the slopes may be open, I just assumed they were closed since it is May. I don't live in the mountains. I did do some skiing in Salt Lake about 8 weeks ago, my first time. I loved it. I still need to have my shoulder x-ray'd though!

Gave up on Thomas and moved on to Collective Soul. I ran out of coke too, just crown now. It's early to be drinking it straight, I better pace myself. Luckily my flight home doesn't leave til noon tomorrow.

Can't do the clothes thing at night, way too uncomfortable. I wouldn't get any sleep if I had to fight my boxers all night.

I'm not from here, just a short trip. It is beautiful though, have to admit that. If the slopes were open I would be much happier.

Eagles?

Colorado Springs. Great views but not much fun when you're TDY alone -- wife couldn't come with. And visiting the AF Academy just doesn't interest me. Odd after 18 years in the AF. How's life inside the beltway?

Had to switch to Rob Thomas; Cohen + Crown = Jail (or divorce) Too much drama for this old man.

Crown and coke, is there anything else? TV noise in the background and Leonard Cohen on the MP3 player, could be worse. Wasting away in a hotel -- so boring. I'm ready to go home!

Where are you?

Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town for the last couple weeks. Good luck to you too.

Lane,

I start the p/t program at UALR this fall. I think that letter is a standard letter you get when you list the school on your FAFSA application. Notice how that last sentence started with "I" so you should call the financial aid office to see what they say. You can find their number on their website. Good luck and let me know if I can help with anything else. - Joe

Incoming 1Ls / Re: accepted but no scholarship... what gives?

thanks mfitz,

UALR financial aid may be the single hardest entity to get in touch with on the planet.

I too am starting at UALR in the fall and have alredy received my acceptance letter. I called Dean Wood's office and spoke to her receptionist. Apparently Dean Wood (makes scholarship decisions for entering class) has been out of the office for a while recovering from surgery. She said she was starting back part after the Christmas holidays and would be making decisions about scholarships soon. They are having a pre-law day on the 28th of January. I registered for it planning on talking to Dean Wood then. My index was only 60, but I was hoping for a little help also. I got a full ride offer from OCU, but I'm not able to move.

I live here in Little Rock if any of you out of state folks have any questions. It might be nice to get to know someone before class starts.
