Dunno if it'll help, but I'm considering buying the "First Year Review" BarBri book off the net; perhaps it will help me on exams. Anything to gain an edge!

Legacyism should be abolished.

NICE

I've already withdrawn from Case, and I plan on doing the same at Temple.

I guess I didn't get into Case. I haven't heard from them in months. They were one of the first schools I applied to because of the fee waiver they gave me. I haven't heard a word.

I transmitted my app December 6th.  Never even got a confirmation email.  I called about a month ago to make sure they actually had my complete app.  You?

I have a similar complete time. I don't recall a confirm email either (although maybe I got one). No, I haven't called them or anything. I really am not that interested anyhow. I'm glad it didn't cost me anything. Good luck to you. Your numbers make me think you'll get in no problem.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: UT vs. GW

Of course not.....but neither Northwestern or NYU are within a 1000 miles of Austin, Texas.

But aren't they "the best school for about 3 miles"?

Finally, Texas is the best school for 1000's of miles in any direction.  GW is the best school for about 3 miles.

Northwestern and NYU must both suck too.

Is there some place I could find these OCI numbers you mention?

I too am from the South and have to say that Tenn is the more popular of the three. However, Ole Miss has an extensive network and a great reputation. From what I have heard the Alumni help you out and keep new alumni close to them.

It's based on catologue numbers and stuff they've mailed me. They have the highest mean LSAT of the three and are ranked the highest. You can probably find it on their website; I don't particularly feel like looking. As far as networking in the South, I don't know UK's rep. I was just refering to placement in general, and overall prestige. I have no desire to live in Mississippi or Tennessee.

I've never been to Oxford, but Lexington is a DUMP compared to Knoxville.  The school and the town.

I haven't been there, but you're the first person I've come across who has said that. I would still take UK over UTenn in a heartbeat.
