Law School Admissions / Re: Which schools can I get in with a 3.2 / 169?
« on: January 31, 2005, 07:56:46 PM »
I would be happy graduating from any of the schools to which I've applied.  I just wish I would have applied to more competitive schools instead (not applying to UNC is bugging me)

The old schools can still get it after the corrections.

I figure might as well increase the chances to get into a better school than go half-ass worried about not getting in anywhere.

Hey, I applied to 10 safeties, there's nothing wrong with that!! :D

Actually, I kind of regret it now.

Yeah, unless the schools are comprable.. for example, if it's between any top 10 schools, the numbers don't really matter as much to me as the intangibles.  But if it's between Michigan and USD?  Sorry, I have to choose Mich.  Even though I hate the cold... :(

Of course that's an extreme example, but yeah.. I don't think I could justify to myself going to the significantly worse school just for the weather or to be near my friends/family for 3 years.

I've already agonized over this, and I decided to go to the best school I can get into (not based on usnews rank, I have my own rankings based on their raw data)

I did it for most of my schools :D, I still have a couple corrections to do (I applied to a lot of schools)

I got my SAR quickly.. not more than a few days later.

The corrections seem to go through instantly, but I still give it a couple days between each correction, just in case.

IC, you're really planning ahead, I didn't find this site until 2 months before I applied.. although that's basically about the time I decided to go to law school in the first place :D

Yeah those aren't my rankings, they're the collegeprowler.com rankings.  They are fishy.. I don't get how they can give gtown and american different scores either.. I guess it just implies a margin of error.
