Some schools will take the highest score.  You really need to take an LSAT prep course.  Look into testmasters or powerscore.

If you applied to berkeley, they would have taken you.  You should really send them an application right now.  They love 4.0s.

Hey eva, were your offers in areas where you had personal ties?  How about callbacks?  My only personal ties are to new york, which sucks because I don't want to work in or near new york.

Duke rejection today.

They didn't even use the good (bond) paper!

In case anyone is interested in baylor but doesn't want to wait until they get admitted to ask questions on their message boards, you can use my password.. I withdrew from there, but they keep emailing me, including this email:

We have a new page on the Baylor Law website set up for you, our admitted students!  Go to  One of the features on the page is a discussion board for you to post questions and responses accessible by other Fall starters.  Your username for the discussion board will be Fall05, and your password will be greenandgold.  We will also use the discussion board to post housing options or inquiries we get from other students.

Also on this page, you can see profiles of some current law students and contact them with questions.  You will need your Bear ID in order to access this page.

I hope you will take advantage of and enjoy this new resource!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Law School Admissions / USC EA app was just "Held" ... huh?
« on: February 03, 2005, 04:01:11 PM »
What does it mean when your USC EA app is "held"?

Is it the same as if you just applied regular decision?

I got the "held" letter in the mail today.  Is that the same as being waitlisted (esp. since it's so late in the game)?

Should I send any supplemental things in?

Has anyone who's been held been accepted?

200$ isn't enough to cover everything (unless maybe you take a bus and stay in the holiday inn?), but it's something!

Did they offer you a scholarship too?  When is the admitted student's day?  And when did you apply?
